Artists StatementWays in Life and Dream The dream box is about our life. It can be a symbol for every life. Everybody has one. A unique one. The painting symbolizes our dreams and therefore our life. There are many ways, many places to rest for a while, many doors that lead to new territories and many junctions and bridges. The doors reflect the entrances to new/unknown phases of life, challenges. During our life (especially if we are ready to give our life a certain richness and profundity) we have to open many doors. These are not only big doors like parenthood, emigration or entering working life. We are even able to open many doors by carefully listening to people and considering different attitudes. Sometimes just opening them they can be very tough and scary. And sometimes there is a big surprise behind a door drags us into a different life phase. Sometimes we might wish we would not have opened it. Some doors cannot be reopened after having been shut. And another door cannot be shut once it was unlocked and opened only one time. But experiences do not have the same influence every time on every person, sometimes we are ready to open a door or to let it open, sometimes not, sometimes we are afraid to lock what is behind and sometimes we even seal it Sometimes a door was ready to go through too early and later it was shut.
